What week 30 covers

This week’s topics

  • Comparing fractions (same numerator or denominator)

Review of earlier topics

Multiplication facts · Division facts · Multiplication and division word problems · Unknown factors · Time to the minute · Elapsed time · Mass and liquid volume word problems · Rounding to the nearest 10 or 100 · Addition within 1,000 · Subtraction within 1,000 · Multiplying by multiples of 10 · Two-step word problems · Area by counting squares · Area of rectangles · Fractions of a shape

Every sheet has a multiple-choice part and a show-your-work part: about two thirds of the questions come from this week’s topics and one third reviews earlier ones. The 10 sheets use different numbers and questions, so you can give each student a different one or use them over several days.

How to use these sheets

  1. Pick a sheet from 1 to 10 to preview it, and turn on Show answer key to see the answers.
  2. Click Download sheet for one sheet with its answer key, or Download all 10 sheets to print for the whole class: the answer keys are at the end of the file.
  3. Print on US Letter and send it home for the weekend; a parent checks it with the answer key and signs the box.

Frequently asked questions

Does week 30 match my school’s curriculum?

Not exactly. The weeks follow the order these topics are commonly taught in 3rd grade, spread over a 35-week school year. It’s an estimate, not any program’s pacing guide, so if your class is ahead or behind, pick the week whose topics match what you’re teaching.

Where is the answer key?

Every downloaded sheet has an Answer Key for Parents page right after it. When you download all 10 sheets, the 10 answer keys come at the end of the file, so you can print only the sheets for students. Turn on Show answer key on this page to preview it.

Can I edit a sheet?

Yes. Open the Weekly Math Homework Generator, choose Grade 3 and week 30, and type the sheet number (for example 33001) into the Sheet number box: with the default settings you get the same sheet. Then change the topics or the number of questions, or add a challenge question.

Want to choose the topics yourself?

Use the homework generator to tick your own topics, change the number of questions, add a challenge question or make a new sheet any time.
