Weekly Math Homework Generator
A one-page weekly math homework sheet for grades 1–5: this week’s topics plus review, a parent signature box and an answer key.
Weeks 1–35 follow the order topics are commonly taught in during the year. It’s an estimate, not your program’s pacing guide — tick the topics your class has covered.

Free Weekly Math Homework Sheets for Grades 1–5
This weekly math homework generator makes a short, printable sheet to send home for first through fifth grade. Pick the grade and the week of the school year: each grade’s topics are spread over 35 weeks in the order they are commonly taught, so week 12 of third grade practices that week’s topic, with about two thirds of the questions on this week’s topics and one third reviewing topics from earlier weeks (week 1 has no review). The week is only an estimate of where a class usually is, not any program’s pacing guide, so the topic list starts with everything taught up to that week and you can tick or untick topics to match what your class has really covered. The sheet has Name and Date lines, a friendly note, a box for teacher comments and a parent signature, a multiple-choice part and a show-your-work part, and an optional challenge word problem at the end. It leaves out points unless you turn them on, and by default it keeps to one page. Every answer is calculated by the generator, and the PDF ends with an Answer Key for Parents that gives each multiple-choice answer with its letter and the worked steps for word problems.
Make a homework sheet in 3 steps
Choose the grade and week. Pick Grade 1 to Grade 5 and the week of the school year. The box next to the week shows this week’s topics and the topics it reviews; tick or untick topics to match your class.
Set the length. Choose how many multiple-choice and show-your-work questions to ask for and whether to add a challenge question. With Keep it to one page on, the last questions that don’t fit are left out; turn it off for up to two pages.
Print it. Click Download PDF for the sheet followed by the Answer Key for Parents, or Answer key only. Choose US Letter or A4. Click New sheet for a different set of questions.
Ways to use weekly math homework
Friday folder homework
Set the grade and this week, print one sheet per student and send it home on Friday. The sheet number in the footer tells you which answer key goes with it, so a parent can check the work at home.
Catch-up after an absence
Pick the week a student missed and print that week’s sheet: it practices the topics of that week and reviews the ones before it, with the worked answers on the parents’ key.
Spiral review before a test
Tick only the topics of the coming test, turn the challenge question on and print a two-page sheet. Each sheet number gives a different set of questions on the same topics.
Go over it on Monday
Open Classroom Presentation Mode and walk through the sheet page by page with the arrow keys. The answer key never appears when presentation starts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does week 12 match my math program’s week 12?
Not necessarily. The weeks follow the order topics are commonly taught in during the year, spread evenly over 35 weeks, so they are only an estimate. Programs and classes move at different speeds, so tick the topics your class has covered; the week then decides which of them count as this week’s topics and which are review.
How much of the sheet is review?
About one third of the questions review topics from earlier weeks and about two thirds practice this week’s topics. Week 1 has no review. When a part has no topic of this week (shapes questions are multiple choice only, for example), that part is all review. If the sheet has to be shortened to fit on one page, review questions are left out first.
Is there an answer key for parents?
Yes. The PDF ends with an Answer Key for Parents: each multiple-choice answer with its letter and value, the answers to every lettered part, and the worked steps for word problems. Answer key only downloads just the key, and the same sheet number with the same settings always gives the same sheet.
What is on the sheet besides the questions?
A title with the grade and week, the sheet number, Name and Date lines, a box for teacher comments and a parent signature, and a short note asking the student to do their best and have a grown-up check and sign. Turn on Show points to add a Score box and the points for each question.
Why does the sheet sometimes have fewer questions than I asked for?
With Keep it to one page on, questions that don’t fit on the page are left out, review questions first, and the preview says how many fit. Turn the switch off for up to two pages, or ask for fewer show-your-work questions, which take the most room.
Does it save my settings?
The grade, week, ticked topics, question counts and switches are saved in this browser on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere and no account is needed. Each visit starts with a new sheet number.
