5th Grade Math Homework
Fifth grade homework that follows the year: decimals first, then multi-digit operations, fractions and volume, with review every week.
Weeks 1–35 follow the order topics are commonly taught in during the year. It’s an estimate, not your program’s pacing guide — tick the topics your class has covered.
The same number with the same settings always gives the same sheet.

About the 5th Grade Math Homework
Fifth grade weeks start with decimal place value, comparing decimals, multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1,000, and adding and subtracting decimals, then order of operations, multi-digit multiplication, multiplying decimals, dividing by a two-digit number and dividing decimals. Fractions in simplest form, adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators and fractions of a whole number come in the second half, then multi-step word problems, converting units and the volume of rectangular prisms. Decimal answers are exact, fractions in the answer key are in simplest form, and a week 30 sheet practices multi-step word problems while reviewing earlier topics.
Ways to use 5th grade math homework
Decimals review
Early-year sheets practice decimals; later in the year they come back in the review part of each sheet.
Fractions practice
Tick only the fraction topics for a sheet on simplest form, unlike denominators and fractions of a whole number.
Show points
Turn on Show points to print points next to each question and a Score box for a graded homework sheet.
Same sheet again
Type the sheet number from a printed page with the same settings to get that sheet and its answer key back.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does order of operations include parentheses?
Yes. Expressions such as (8 + 4) × 3 and 55 – 6 × 7 are evaluated with parentheses first, then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction, and no step gives a negative number.
Does this page change my saved settings?
This page always opens at Grade 5 and doesn’t change the grade saved on the main Weekly Math Homework page. The week, topics, question counts and switches you choose for Grade 5 are saved for next time.
