About the Thanksgiving Bingo Cards

Thanksgiving bingo fits the short week before the break. The list mixes harvest and gratitude words, such as thankful, grateful, harvest, cornucopia, acorn, sunflower and hayride, with a few favorite foods like pumpkin pie and cranberries. The generator shuffles them into up to 40 different cards, 5 × 5 with a FREE center for grades 1 and up or 3 × 3 for PreK and kindergarten, and the PDF ends with a teacher call list. Run the caller in Classroom Presentation Mode to draw words at random on the board, and edit the list first if you would rather leave out food words.

Ways to play Thanksgiving bingo

  • Short-week celebration

Play a few rounds on the last day before the break, with the caller on the board.

  • Say a sentence to win

A student who gets bingo reads back the words and uses one in a sentence about being thankful.

  • Fall vocabulary review

Swap in words from your fall science or social studies unit before printing.

  • Small-group center

Print 3 × 3 cards and let one student be the caller with the call list at a center table.
