About the Classroom Jobs Wheel
Classroom jobs build responsibility, but choosing who gets the favorite jobs can feel unfair. Let the wheel do it. Remove Winner is already on for this wheel, so each job leaves the wheel as soon as it’s assigned and no job is given out twice. Edit the list to match the jobs in your room.
Ways to use a classroom jobs wheel
Weekly job rotation
On Monday, students come up one at a time and spin for their job for the week.
Fair favorite jobs
Line leader and tech helper go to whoever the wheel picks, so nobody feels left out by the teacher.
Substitute day
Leave the link in your sub plans so the substitute can hand out jobs quickly and fairly.
Small-group roles
Swap the list for group roles like reader, recorder, timekeeper and reporter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do jobs disappear after a spin?
Remove Winner is on for this wheel, so each assigned job leaves the wheel when you close the result. Press Put back or Reset Items to start a new round, or turn Remove Winner off in Wheel Settings.
Should I spin student names instead?
You can do either. To spin student names for each job, open the full Wheel of Names, which uses your saved class list.
