Open the full Handwriting & Letter Tracing GeneratorAbout the Alphabet Tracing Worksheets
This page opens with the whole alphabet ready to print: each row repeats one capital and lowercase pair, such as Aa, in dotted letters on three-line primary paper, with an empty ruled line under it for writing the pair alone. Large lines suit pre-K and kindergarten, and the PDF runs over several pages with Name and Date lines on each. To focus on a few letters at a time, delete the other lines and keep just this week’s letters, or type single letters like “b d” to practice a tricky pair. Choose Solid Letters for a model to copy, or Cursive when students are learning cursive letters.
Ways to use alphabet tracing worksheets
A letter of the week
Keep only this week’s letter, turn on “A full page for each entry”, and print a whole page of practice for it.
A handwriting folder
Print the full A to Z set once per student and staple it into a folder they work through during handwriting time.
Letter formation on the board
Present one letter pair at a time in Classroom Presentation Mode and model where to start each stroke, then let students practice on whiteboards.
Fix reversals
For students who mix up b and d or p and q, keep just those letters and print a short page that practices the pair side by side.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I print only some letters?
Yes. Each line of the list is one row on the worksheet, so delete the letters you don’t need or type your own, such as “Mm” and “Ss”.
How many pages is the full alphabet?
It depends on the line size and paper. With Large lines, each page holds a few letters and their practice lines, so the A to Z set runs over several pages. Medium lines fit more letters on each page.
