The first grade test starts with topics commonly taught in first grade: addition and subtraction facts within 20, missing numbers in number sentences like ___ + 5 = 12, adding a two-digit and a one-digit number without regrouping, comparing numbers to 100, tens and ones, counting patterns to 120, telling time to the hour and half hour on a clock face, naming shapes, and word problems within 20. By default it has 8 multiple-choice questions with A–D bubbles and 5 show-your-work questions for a 30-minute test; untick any topic your class hasn’t reached yet. Subtraction never goes below zero, and the multiple-choice clocks only offer times on the hour or half hour.
