About the Silly Mash-up Coloring Pages

Kids love silly creatures that mix an animal with food or everyday objects, and these six are our own inventions. There is a Taco Shark tucked in a taco shell, a Teapot Cat with a spout for a tail, a Donut Frog floating in a sprinkled donut, a Roller-Skate Elephant, a Bubble Tea Dino peeking out of its cup and a Pizza Turtle whose shell is a whole pizza. They are a fun way to spark creative writing and drawing, because the next step is always the same question: what would you mix together?

Ways to use silly mash-up coloring pages

  • Invent your own mash-up

After coloring one, students draw their own animal and object mix on the back and give it a name.

  • Silly story starter

Hand out the Taco Shark or the Roller-Skate Elephant and ask students to write three sentences about its day.

  • Brain break

Color the Bubble Tea Dino together on the board with Color on the Board as a quick, cheerful break between lessons.

  • Color by number fun

Turn on Color by number for the Pizza Turtle or Donut Frog. The color key makes it a good number and color-word practice page.
