About the Unicorn & Fantasy Coloring Pages

This fantasy set starts with a unicorn and a Sleepy Baby Unicorn curled up on a cloud, and adds a winged Pegasus, a friendly dragon, a castle with towers and flags, a mermaid, a Mushroom House with a garden gnome, a Treasure Chest full of gems and a rainbow with clouds and a sun. The pictures are our own designs, not characters from any movie or show, so they are free to print for your class. They pair well with fairy tale and make-believe units, and the rainbow is a natural fit for a lesson on color order. Print them with bold lines for little hands, or add Name and Date lines and send them home.

Ways to use unicorn and fantasy coloring pages

  • Fairy tale week

Print the castle and the dragon together, 2 to a page, and ask students to tell a short story where the two meet.

  • Rainbow color order

Print the rainbow and color the bands together in order on the board with Color on the Board, then let students color their own copy.

  • Calm corner

Keep a few unicorn pages in the calm-down corner. Coloring a familiar picture is a quiet way to reset.

  • Reward choice

Offer a choice of fantasy pictures as a reward. Students who finish can press Save image on the board to keep a colored copy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these the unicorns or mermaids from a movie?

No. Every picture here was drawn for FreeClassTool. Characters from movies and shows belong to the companies that own them, so we do not print them.

Can I make a unicorn color-by-number page?

Yes. Turn on Color by number and the page prints a number in each space with a color key at the bottom. Spaces too small for a number are left for students to choose.
